When there are great objectives on the table, Carlos Alcaraz continues to take advantage of the opportunities.
The Spanish improved to 10-2 his balance in the late ‘great titles’ this Sunday, beating Lorenzo Musetti 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 to conquer the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters Rolex trophy.

Alcaraz has shone strongly in the biggest scenarios, registering 6-1 balances in ATP Masters 1000 and 4-0 finals in Grand Slam decisive matches. His only two losses in the late ‘great titles’ occurred against Novak Djokovic – last year in the match for the gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games and in the Cincinnati 2023 final.

No other player has broken Alcaraz with a trophy at stake in such important tournaments. The Murcia accumulates an 18-5 record in the late tour and has won at least a ‘great title’ – Grand Slam, Nitto ATP Finals, ATP Masters 1000 and Individual Olympic Medals of Golden – in four consecutive seasons.
Among the tennis players since 2000, Alcaraz is the leader with six Masters 1000 crowns. In addition, he has raised these trophies in four different tournaments, the first four masters 1000 of the season.
With just 21 years, Alcaraz shares the 10th historical position of Masters 1000 titles with Daniil Medvedev, another old No. 1 of the PIF ATP Rankings.
Djokovic holds the record with 40 Masters 1000 titles, although the Serbian did not win its sixth trophy of the category until they turn 23 (Indian Wells 2011). Among active tennis players, only Djokovic (40) and Alexander Zverev (7) have more 1000 Masters Trophies.
