Nicolas Barrientos and Roshvik Choudary Bollipalli celebrated this Saturday at the Movistar Chile Open their first crown as a double team.
The pair composed of the Colombian and the Indian managed to defeat the main favorites Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 6-3, 6-2 in the match for the title in the ATP 250 of Santiago in 63 minutes.
Barrientos and Bollipalli played together for the first time last month in Dallas and with their crown in the Chilean beaten earth they set their games record this season in 5-2.
“It’s amazing,” said the 37 -year -old Colombian. “It’s nice to win here in South America. I know it is not my country of origin, but it feels at home. It is only my second ATP Tour title, the first with Rithvik. It is very rewarding for us and very exciting to be able to lift this trophy and be certain that we are doing the right thing. ”
Barrientos and Bollipalli surpassed the third favorite third parties and recent champions in Buenos Aires, Guido Andreozzi and Theo arrival in the semifinals, before giving the bell in the final of Santiago. They won 87% (26/30) of the points with their first service and did not face any breakdown opportunity according to InfosS ATP statistics.
