John Peers and Matthew Ebden have reached the men’s doubles final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after beating Americans Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul 7-5, 6-2 in the semi-finals. The Australian pair will face American specialists Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek on Saturday, who defeated Czech duo Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek on Thursday.

Ebden and Peers became only the second Australian pair to reach a doubles final since tennis returned at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games, taking over from Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde – champions at Atlanta 1996. The Woodies also claimed silver at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Peers secured a second Olympic medal after partnering Ash Barty for bronze in the mixed doubles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Both pairs have reached the final without losing a set throughout the tournament.
