Jannik Sinner received a double reward by advancing to the quarter-finals of the Omnium Banque Nationale presented by Rogers. In doing so, the Italian became the first player to qualify for this year’s Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.

Sinner, No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings, will be making his second consecutive and third overall appearance at the prestigious season-ending tournament, which this year runs from Nov. 10-17. After making his debut at the event as an alternate in 2021, Sinner reached the final last year in front of his home crowd at Inalpi Arena, where he was ultimately defeated by Novak Djokovic.

The 22-year-old Italian began the season by lifting his first Grand Slam trophy at the Australian Open. He then won an ATP 500 indoor hard-court title in Rotterdam, lifted his second Masters 1000 title in Miami and opened his grass-court collection in Halle.

In addition to winning four tournaments (the most for any player this season so far), Sinner made history on June 10 after Roland Garros, where he reached the semi-finals. Jannik overtook Djokovic in qualifying to become the first Italian to rise to No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings.

Now 44-4 on the season after defeating Alejandro Tabilo in Montreal, Sinner will look to continue extending his lead in the Race to Turin over second-placed Carlos Alcaraz. The Italian currently holds 6,400 points, 450 more than the Spaniard. Sinner is aiming to claim the coveted ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF.
