Adding 100 victories in the ATP Tour is a remarkable feat, but much more is to become a centenary in a specific surface (hard track) and in ATP Masters 1000 territory. And that is what Grigor Dimitrov signed this Sunday at the Miami Open presented by It Itaú.

Serial head No. 14 managed to overcome in the match that opened the day on the Grandstand track against Karen Khachanov by 6-7 (3), 6-4, 7-5, in two hours and 37 minutes, to become the first player to advance to the round of 16 in this edition of Miami.

In this way, Dimitrov became the fourth active player that reaches the 100 games won on a hard track in the ATP Masters 1000 category, thanks to a 100-67 record under these conditions, matching Stan Wawrinka in the third position.

“It’s great. Last year I think I got 100 wins on covered track, now this,” Dimitrov revealed. “I think it’s pretty every time you get a brand. When I feel that I can still compete, do what I do there on the track, everything else is an addition. It is another medal in the curriculum. I do not give anything for granted, especially when I can still compete in front of the youngest and I feel love for this sport.”

The Bulgarian has appeared in Fourth Round this season in both Indian Wells and Miami. In addition, the finalist in this tournament in the last edition has achieved him four times in Florida throughout his career: 2012, 2016, 2024 and 2025.

On the other side of the network, he was waiting for a rival who has not completed the beginning of the brightest season, but forced him to Bregar to the last sigh to move on. He did it thanks to 13 direct serves, 81% of points won with the first service and 5/5 break points saved, according to the infosys ATP statistics.

Thus he built the fifth victory in six games recorded by the Lexus ATP Head2head between Dimitrov and Khachanov (5-1).
