Davidovich, Carballés and Munar know their way in Dallas

On Monday a renewed Open Dallas will begin: it will be its first edition as ATP 500, after being ATP 250 until last year when the American Tommy Paul won. And three Hispanics will be part of the main picture, all Spaniards: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Roberto Carballés Baena and Jaume Munar (see Main Draw complete).

The first one will debut before a player from the previous phase. It will be his first tournament since his incredible campaign in Australia, where he reached the second week by tracing a 0-2 in Sets in second and third rounds. The Italian Matteo Arnaldi, eighth preclassified and who leaves before another ‘Qualifier’, could be his rival in the second round.

In addition, Baena Carballés, No. 51 of the ranks, will debut before a player of the previous phase and in the second round an obstacle in capital letters: the winner of the duel between the Norwegian Casper Ruud, second preclassified, and the American Marcos Giron. The current No. 5 of the world leads 2-1 the Lexus ATP Headtohead between them.

In other first round duels to take into account, the local Taylor Fritz, the first preclassified will face the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, with whom he has a 2-0 record. While Paul, third favorite, will debut in his first tournament as Top 10 facing his compatriot Jenson Brooksby.
