In early 2025, Babolat released the long-awaited update to their popular Pure Drive range of tennis rackets.
Below, I will compare the racket specs of the new Babolat Pure Drive 2025 with the older 2021 version to see how they compare to each other.
Racket Specs Comparison – Pure Drive 2025 vs 2021
As you would expect, the 2025 and 2021 versions of the Pure Drive have very similar racket specs as they both have the same head size (100in), racket length (27in), strung weight (318g), balance (4 pts HL), and string pattern (16 by 19).
In terms of differences, the 2025 version (317g) has a slightly lighter swing weight when compared with the 2021 version (320g), but the difference in weight is very negligible.
The 2025 version (68) also has a lower stiffness rating than the 2021 version (71), which should please tennis players who may not have loved the stiffness of the old 2021 version.

Is it worth upgrading to the new Pure Drive 2025?
If you just look at the differences in terms of racket specs then there don’t seem to be huge changes between the 2025 and 2021 Pure Drives but in my opinion, the lowering of the stiffness from 71 to 68 is a big positive for recreational players, who may have found the 2021 version uncomfortable to play with.
