The ATP 250 in Gijón (Spain), which was held in 2022, will return to the ATP Tour calendar in 2024 as the Watergen Gijón Open. The indoor hard court tournament will be held this time in week 45 of the calendar, together with the Moselle Open in Metz from November 3 to 9.
Andrey Rublev won the 2022 edition, in a team that included stars such as Andy Murray, Dominic Thiem, Roberto Bautista Agut and Pablo Carreño Busta. Rublev beat Sebastian Korda in the final.
Promoted by Watergen, in collaboration with the city of Gijón and the Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET), the tournament venue will be the same as in 2022: the Gijón Sports Palace.
With the return of Gijón, located in week 45, the BNP Paribas Nordic Open in Stockholm will return to week 42. The Swedish ATP 250 will be held from October 14 to 20.
In the same week, the ATP 250 that was previously held in Astana will now move to Almaty. The tournament will be played at the Almaty Arena, the largest sports venue in Kazakhstan. The city was the capital of the country for almost 70 years and is the financial, scientific, cultural, economic, historical and industrial center of Kazakhstan.
Finally, the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by NEOM in 2024 will be held from December 18 to 22. It will be the second edition to be held in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
