Stefanos Tsitsipas is someone who very rarely avoids the truth, rather he usually takes advantage of the learning from each experience.

The 2019 Nitto ATP Finals champion concluded the 2024 season as a reserve in Turin, after finishing No. 11 in the PIF ATP Live Race. Resorting to his usual philosophy, Tsitsipas analyzed his year in a post titled ‘Learnings’ on his official Instagram account.

“Not reaching the ATP Finals this year was a humbling experience, teaching me the value of resilience and perspective,” reflected Tsitsipas, who had five consecutive appearances at the year-end tournament between 2019 and 2023. “I tried hard, But I have learned that perfection does not exist and that is okay.”

“Despite wanting it, it doesn’t come just by thinking about it. The real difference lies in execution and constant effort,” added the Greek.

In April, Tsitsipas captured his third crown at the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo and reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros the following month. In August, the 26-year-old ended his partnership with his father, Apostolos, as coach and appointed Greek Davis Cup captain Dimitris Chatzinikolau.

Although the results have not been as expected, finishing the year with a record of 45-22, Tsitsipas is eager to continue working with Chatzinikolaou to regain his best form at the start of the 2025 season. Tsitsipas will begin the course representing his country in the United Cup, the new mixed tournament.

“Change is not necessarily bad,” Tsitsipas added. “It is a process that requires patience and commitment. Even if the results don’t appear quickly. I trust that these changes will take me where I want.”
