The Nordea Open, an ATP 250 tournament taking place on the clay courts of Bastad from 15 to 21 July, has put together a top-notch line-up in both the singles and doubles categories.

Although Rafael Nadal’s participation in the singles draw was announced on June 13, thanks to an invitation, this Wednesday the tournament announced that the Spaniard will also be present in the pairs event.

Nadal will team up with Casper Ruud in doubles to prepare for the Olympic Games in Paris just a few weeks later, where he will play not only alone, but also in the team discipline with his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz.

Nadal, who won the title in Bastad in 2005, joins a long list of stars that includes current world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, as well as other Swedish champions such as Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev.

Roberto Bautista Agut, Kei Nishikori, Federico Coria, Cameron Norrie and Roberto Carballés Baena are also among the participants.
