Rafael Nadal has added a special piece of history, a torch of the Olympic Games of Paris 2024, to his museum at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar. The 22 times champion of a major, always linked to Paris for his 14 Titles of Roland Garros, now has a piece of Olympic history in tribute to his role in the opening ceremony.

The Spanish brought the torch through the heart of the city next to legends such as Serena Williams and Zinedine Zidane. In recognition of your contribution to the games, the torch now shines between its trophies, embodying the spirit of the competition and the legacy.

“Thank you, @olympics, for sending me this special torch,” Nadal shared on social networks on Thursday. “In the Olympic Games of Paris 2024, I lived one of the most emotional days of my career and I am delighted to maintain this torch in an extraordinary place in the museum …”

Last year in Paris, Nadal was in the center of the Olympic show, receiving the flame from the Zidane football icon before climbing a ship through the Seine. Together . Williams, Carl Lewis and Nadia Comaneci, brought the torch to the Louvre in a ceremony followed by millions of people. The flame reached its final destination, lighting a pebetero inspired by the first aerostatic flight of the Montgolfier brothers.

Nadal’s connection with the games is deep, since he won the Olympic gold in individuals in 2008 and in doubles in 2016 with Marc López. Now, this torch serves as a lasting reminder of its role in one of the most iconic traditions of sport. Exhibited next to its trophies and memories, consolidates the legacy of former number 1 of the PIF ATP Rankings as a world sports icon.
