Arévalo/Pavic conquer a historical title in Miami
They are the sixth couple that completes the double of the sun

Marcelo Arévalo and Mate Pavic wrote their names in the history of ATP Tour.
Salvadoran and Croatian became the sixth couple of history capable of completing the double of the sun in the Miami Open presented by It Itaú, giving continuity to the title of Indian Wells with a new victory in Florida.
The first series heads surpassed the British Julian Cash and Lloyd Glaspool 7-6 (3), 6-3 to prevail in a final fully marked by the rains.

“Last year we made a great season, ending as No. 1,” said Pavic. “We show that we can be on top, doubles is an interesting game. It is very matched, so getting something like this is not easy. Winning a couple of games helps improve your trust, I think that was the key in recent meetings.”
Arévalo and Pavic are consolidated as one of the most based on the circuit with six trophies, including three ATP Masters 1000 crowns and the Roland Garros scepter, a magnificent spoil for a couple that started their way in 2024. With this triumph, Pavic raised his 41st double crown, being the most laureate active bendingist.
Salvadoran and Croatian became the first couple capable of conquering the ‘double of the sun’ from the French Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in 2016. John Isner conquered both titles in 2022 with different couples.

Cash and Glaspool were looking for their first Masters 1000 title as a couple. At the beginning of the season, champions were proclaimed in Brisbane and Doha. In Miami they completed a fantastic tournament, giving just a manga on the way to the final.
The British leave Miami as No. 4 of the PIF ATP Double Rankings, while Arévalo and Pavic occupy the second position.
