The BNP Paribas Open is close to meeting the two couples who will fight for the champion crown in the first ATP Masters 1000 of the season.
Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic have not failed their status as main favorites and this Wednesday they appeared in the semifinals, after defeating the Italian pair formed by Matteo Berrettini and Lorenzo Sonegop by 7-6 (6), 6-4 in an hour and 36 minutes.
The Salvadoran and the Croatian have not yielded a set throughout the week in Indian Wells. It is the third time that there are among the four best couples of an ATP Tour tournament this season (Adelaida, Rotterdam and Indian Wells).
In search of their first 2025 final, Arévalo and Pavic will be measured to the team made up of Americans Christian Harrison and Evan King, who surprised the favorites No. 7 Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 7-6 (4), 6-3.
