Hubert Hurkacz has announced the two new additions that strengthen his team for the 2025 season.
The 27-year-old Pole has added eight-time Grand Slam champion Ivan Lendl to his bench, as well as Olympic gold medalist Nicolás Massú. Lendl helped Andy Murray win his three majors, while Massú accompanied Dominic Thiem to win the 2020 US Open.
“Having Nicolás Massú and Ivan Lendl as part of my team is an honor,” Hurkacz said in a statement. “Their knowledge and dedication inspires me to work harder than ever, and I am prepared to work hard.”
“I am looking forward to and optimistic about the 2025 season and whatever may come. It has been a year of ups and downs, I have learned a lot and grown, and I can finally say that I am completely healthy and prepared for the challenges that come.”
Hurkacz underwent meniscus surgery to treat the injury he suffered in the second round at Wimbledon, and has since stopped working with his longtime coach Craig Boynton, with whom he won his eight ATP Tour titles.
“I am very motivated and happy to start this new chapter working with Hubi,” added Massú. “He is not only a great person, but a true professional. I am delighted to join your team and believe that together we can achieve great things. “I’m looking forward to starting the preseason in Florida with Ivan.”
The Pole reached No. 6 in the PIF ATP Rankings in August, but finished the year at No. 16 with a record of 40-19. Hurkacz will begin the 2025 season representing Poland in the United Cup, the new mixed team tournament, where he was a finalist last year.
