Alcaraz awarded another great title with an unforgettable comeback in Roland Garros

The Spanish successfully defends its title in the Parisian beaten earth

Carlos Alcaraz expanded his advantage over Jannik Sinner in the race for the great titles after starring in an unforgettable comeback against Italian on Sunday in the Roland Garros final.

Sinner had three championship points on the fourth set to win his third consecutive Grand Slam and the ninth great title in total. But instead that No. 1 of the PIF ATP Ranking approached two major titles of its rival, the Spanish now has an advantage of four trophies.

Alcaraz now has 12 major titles, a combination of Grand Slam championships, trophies in the Nitto ATP finals and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and Olympic gold medals in individuals. The 22 -year -old has won three of them only during the beaten earth season, after also imposing itself in Montecarlo and Rome.

At 22 and 34 days, Alcaraz became the third youngest man to win five Grand Slam titles in history. They only exceed Bjorn Borg (22 years and 5 days) and Rafael Nadal (22 years and 33 days).

Alcaraz won his first Major crown in the 2022 United States Open with 19 years, and now he has won at least one Grand Slam in four consecutive seasons. The 22 -year -old became the eighth man of the Open era in successfully defending the title of Roland Garros.

When triumphing in the Grand Slam on whipped land, Alcaraz has won a major for every 4.2 tournaments he has played, surpassing Roger Federer (1 per 4.4) as a percentage of victories. Only Novak Djokovic (3,2) and Rafael Nadal (3,5) are ahead of Alcaraz.

Sinner tried to conquer his third consecutive D Grand Slam title and place a Wimbledon trophy of the Grand Slam de Carrera. Alcaraz, who has won three of the four Grand Slams (except the Australian Open), has won the public of Roland Garros and Wimbledon twice each.
