The preliminary phase of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters awarded the available places for the main draw this Sunday and three of them will be for Roberto Bautista Agut, Jaume Munar and Federico Coria, who won their second round match.

Bautista Agut, who entered the qualifying draw as a reserve to replace Arthur Cazaux, completed two outstanding matches against top-level rivals such as Dominic Thiem (Q1) and Lorenzo Sonego (Q2).

The Spaniard beat the Italian this Sunday in an alternative duel 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 in one hour and 48 minutes, which will allow him to play in the main draw in Monte Carlo for the tenth time in his career.

For his part, Munar will also be able to participate in the final draw at the ATP Masters 1000 on clay that takes place in El Principado.

The Spaniard will do so for the fourth time in his professional career – third in a row – after defeating the main qualy favorite Yannick Hanfmann 6-7(7), 6-1, 7-5 in three hours and 12 minutes.

The same fate befell Federico Coria, who will have the opportunity to play his first ATP Masters 1000 in 2024 and debut in Monte Carlo, where he only had one previous experience in the previous one in 2021 (he lost in Q1 against Thomas Fabbiano).

This time, the Argentine defeated Arthur Rinderknech 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in two hours and 14 minutes to get his ticket to the main draw.

Finally, Facundo Díaz Acosta, who started as third seed in the qualifying round, could not follow in the footsteps of his compatriot, falling to Indian Sumit Nagal 7-5, 2-6, 6-2 in two hours and 25 minutes.
