The ATP is proud to announce the launch of the Next Gen Spending Support Programme, designed to financially support future tennis stars upon their arrival on the ATP Challenger Tour. The initiative aims to play an important role in the development of young talent on their path to the ATP Tour.

The Program will provide valuable financial assistance to eligible U-20 players. Players ranked between No. 101 and No. 500 in the PIF ATP Rankings, or those who are part of the Next Gen Accelerator, will receive $1,000 for each individual main draw or ATP Challenger Tour qualifying event they participate in, with a maximum of $12,000 available per player across 12 tournaments. Payments will be issued every four months, ensuring balanced support throughout the season.

“We are proud of the efforts made for young players through the Next Gen Spending Support Program,” said Ross Hutchins, Chief Tour Officer of the ATP Tour. “This initiative underlines our commitment to nurturing the next generation and ensuring the future of tennis remains healthy.”

This programme is the latest element in the ATP’s strategy to enhance the Next Gen brand, developed in collaboration with PIF. As the Title Sponsor of the Next Gen ATP Finals, PIF is playing a key role in boosting the careers of these young athletes. Its contributions go beyond financial support, facilitating market initiatives and technological investments to expand the reach and impact of Next Gen players globally.

The Next Gen Spending Support Programme came into effect on 1 July 2024 and will run until the end of the 2024 ATP season. Plans for 2025 onwards will be announced in due course.
