Jannik Sinner announced on Monday the launch of the Jannik Sinner Foundation, which will dedicate themselves to empowering children through education and sports.
“Today is a very, very special day. I am happy to share that we are launching the Jannik Sinner Foundation,” Sinner said in a video announcing the news. “The idea is very simple: I want to return something. Children are our future and everything we do at the Foundation aims to help them. We focus on two main areas: sports development and early childhood education.”
According to the Foundation’s website, No. 1 of the PIF ATP Rankings is grateful for the support it has received since its first days playing tennis, and wishes to contribute to enriching the future of the next generation through education and sports.
“I have always worried about helping, especially children, because for me they are our future,” says Sinner. “I hope to offer you small routes and paths in which they feel comfortable and allow them to achieve their dreams. With this foundation, we would like to give younger children the opportunity to achieve their dreams.”
The Foundation will have an experienced board of directors, including the manager of Sinner, Alex Viturt (President of the Foundation), the president and CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, and the former financial director of Apple, Luca Masterri. The director Christina Tauber will direct daily operations.
In a press release, Sinner declared “for me it is an honor to support children and young athletes. Sport has taught me invaluable lessons: discipline, resistance and the value of being faithful to myself. Lessons that I think is worth sharing. With our work, we want to show children what is possible, not only in sport, but in life.”
