Denis Shapovalov ascended 22 positions at the PIF ATP Rankings, after conquering Dallas.

The first ATP 500 tournaments of the 2025 season took place last week at Dallas Open and ABN Amro Open of Róterdam. Denis Shapovalov and Carlos Alcaraz won the victory on the hard roof of each tournament, respectively.

At 25, Shapovalov continues with his spectacular return to the elite thanks to his victory in Dallas Open, which this year had for the first time the category of ATP 500. The Canadian defeated three rivals of the top 10 as Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Casper Ruud to conquer the greatest trophy of his career. After the problems that dragged the injuries in the last two years, Shapovalov amounted to 22 positions until No. 32 as a result of his performance. It is its highest classification since September 2023.

Despite having fallen for the second consecutive year in Róterdam’s final, the Australian has managed to ascend to the highest position of his career as No. 6 of the world after reaching the last round. At 25, he did not yield more than four games per set in his four victories on the way to the final, where he met a sublime Alcaraz, who would end up imposing himself in three sleeves.

The Spanish began its way in Dallas with a great victory against Buyunchaakete and continued surprising the local favorite Ben Shelton and the Italian Matteo Arnaldi to reach the semifinals in an ATP 500 per second time. Munar even took the game in the semifinals against Ruud, but ended up giving in a week that gave him a great result in Texas. The Spanish has jumped 11 positions until No. 53, just one of the highest of his career he registered in 2019.

The charismatic Italian player was the great revelation of the week in Róterdam, where he dazzled fans with his shameless style of play. But Bellucci left more than good points: he surprised the former champion Daniil Medvedev in his first victory against a top 10 in the second round, before beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals. Despite falling into the semifinals with De Miñaur, at 23 years he rose to the highest position of his career as No. 68.

No. 87 Camilo Ugo Carabelli, +6 (Best Ranking)
A week after being forced to retire in the quarterfinals of the ATP Challenger Tour in Brazil, the Argentine Camilo Ugo Carabelli returned through the big door conquering the trophy at home in Rosario (Argentina). At 25, he won the five games in three sets to lift the eighth crown at the Challenger Tour and jump to the best classification of his career as No. 87 of the PIF ATP Rankings.
