For the first time in his career, Jaume Munar has reached multiple classifications to semifinals in a single year in ATP Tour tournaments on fast tracks.
After achieving the first of 2025 in Hong Kong, the Spanish has achieved the second this Friday at Dallas Open, and also the greatest of his career as it is an ATP 500. All thanks to his tight triumph 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 before the Italian Matteo Arnaldi, eighth preclassified of the tournament.
A day after beating the local Ben Shelton in two sets, a preclassified room, No. 64 of the PIF ATP Rankings has once again beat a favorite, this time in two hours and 16 minutes and to leave the Lexus ATP in 2-1 Headtohead between them.
Now with 96 victories in his career at the ATP Tour, Munar will be looking for his first classification to a circuit final from Marbella 2021, when he was a finalist. In addition, he will be chasing his first advance to a match for the championship in tournaments on fast tracks.

“I really enjoy playing on a roof, I learned to do it, but I have not had the results even knowing that I can do it well on this type of track. I am very happy to get to the semifinals because I am trying to be better where I go and this proves it, ”said the 27 -year -old Spanish.
“Matteo is a great player,” said the Italian, who had not suffered breaks in the week before Friday’s duel. “It is very difficult to face, handle the speed very well, play slowly, fast, find easy places to serve. It does not have a great service, but it does have a very good location. Today it fell from my side, but it was very closed. ”
His next opponent will be a new preclassified: the Norwegian Casper Ruud. The second standard head comes from winning 7-5, 3-2, Ret, to Japanese Nishihito Nishioka to sign his first semifinals of the season.
