Boulter and De Minaur announce their engagement

British and Australian will compete in the United Cup

Álex de Minaur and Katie Boulter will be rivals in the United Cup for the second year in a row, when Australia takes on Great Britain on January 1. But the shock of this edition will be slightly different.

Now they will play while being committed. The couple announced the news on social media on Monday.

“We’ve been keeping a little secret… 🤭,” Boulter wrote on Instagram. The post included a selfie of the duo in which Boulter wore an engagement ring.

Many of their colleagues were quick to congratulate the couple on their engagement, including Emma Raducanu, Denis Shapovalov, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Madison Keys, Marta Kostyuk, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and many more.

De Minaur and Boulter begin their season in Sydney in the mixed team event.

Australia begins its run against Argentina on the night of December 28. Great Britain faces Argentina on December 30 before Australia and Great Britain meet on January 1.
