Jannik Sinner has added fitness coach Marco Panichi and physiotherapist Ulises Badio to his team ahead of the Asian swing. The PIF ATP Rankings No. 1, who won his second Grand Slam title at the US Open earlier this month, announced the news on social media on Monday.
Panichi and Badio join Sinner, having previously worked with 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.
Panichi worked with Djokovic from 2017 until last May, when the Serbian ended his collaboration with the Italian. Badio left Djokovic’s team at the end of 2022, after more than five years together.
Panichi and Badio had their first session with Sinner on Monday in Monte Carlo, where the Italian is currently training. They will now travel with the world No. 1 to the ATP 500 in Beijing in September and the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai next month. The 23-year-old continues to work with osteopath Andrea Cipolla during the Asian swing.
Sinner has a 55-5 record this year, according to the Infosys Win-Loss Index, which has helped him capture six ATP Tour titles. The 23-year-old Italian, who rose to World No. 1 in June, became the first player to qualify for the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals.
