Jannik Sinner has rounded off the best ATP Tour season of his career by being voted Fans’ Favorite at the ATP Awards.
The Italian won four singles titles in 2023, including his first ATP Masters 1000 crown in Toronto. Additionally, he reached the throne match at the Nitto ATP Finals, his first Grand Slam semi-final at Wimbledon and guided Italy to its first Davis Cup trophy since 1976.
Sinner, who went 64-15 in 2023, closed the season with a career-high No. 4 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings, becoming the first Italian man to finish a season in the world’s Top 5.
This result will delight Sinner’s fan club, ‘The Carota Boys’, famous in the tennis world for appearing in tournaments dressed as carrots. This spectacle has its origins in a change of sides in Vienna in 2019, where the Italian chewed a carrot on the bench.

Roger Federer won the Fans’ Favorite award 19 times. The Spanish Rafael Nadal won this award for the first time last year.
Sinner’s recognition comes a day after Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev were honored as Fans’ Favorite doubles pair.
